Our anniversary celebration last Saturday brought to life some of the most spectacular music our collective has yet experienced. To witness a carpenter, hospital administrator, painter, arts coordinator, teacher, journalist, software programmer, geneticist, studio engineer, AIDS educator, business consultant, and real estate developer, spontaneously create some foot-stomping, heart-pounding, sweat-drenching Afrobeat music speaks volumes to the power of collective soul. A big thank you to all the artists and creative musicians who took to the stage to make Saturday night one of the most memorable momentum's to date. Special thanks to City Paper, Pittsburgh Pulp, and WYEP 91.3 FM for the kind words of support. A super-special thanks to all the volunteers who helped set-up, maintain, and takedown for the night and to the Shadow Lounge for once again generously hosting our event. Most of all, though, we'd especially like to thank you for sharing in our anniversary celebration. We hope that the momentum can continue in everything that you and yours aspire to.
As element 5 makes the transition into phase II, we'd like to invite you for an intimate post-anniversary soiree tonight at Club Havana, as our ground crew for Momentum take to the stage themselves for a special live performance:

Finally, it appears that the cosmic energy of Saturday night was also felt outside the city of bridges. element 5 would like to extend a big congratulations to momentum alumnus M-Rock [Quiet Storm, Aug 3 2002] for placing 2nd at the 2003 DMC World Turntablist DJ Championship in London, UK.
