Things of Dry Hours By Naomi Wallace
Pittsburgh Public Theater

O'Reilly Theater, 621 Penn Avenue, Downtown
Things of Dry Hours tells the story of an African-American father
and daughter in Depression-era Alabama. Their lives are thrown into
jeopardy when a white factory worker on the run from company police
demands sanctuary in their home. With the three of them trapped in a
tiny house, the intersections and maneuverings of gender, race and
class are laid bare through Wallace's riveting poetic language.
