Interim II - Remixes, Dubb and B-sides.
One of the many eggs Soma Mestizo has been sitting on,
is hatching. Interim II, features remixes by Pfaffomas
and Mark Pfaff, guest musicians such as Mike Speranzo
(of mr. smalls funhouse), drummers Ping Ting and
Andrew Pearl; and the comic stylings of Kristopher
Smith of Vortex Komix.
This great evening of long awaited delight will
showcase a new line up, featuring new member on the
keys, Greg Galbreath, truly fusing our signature sound
of electro-organic musings.
Greg Galbreath is a life-long musician who now lives
in Pittsburgh after spending the past 10 years in San
Francisco, CA . He is an independent musician and
producer who created music using keyboards,
turntables, samplers, drums, and bass. As a
keyboardist, he has shared stages with members of
Fishbone, Spearhead, Black Fish, Dubtronic Science, MC
Radioactive, Tommy Guererro, and many others. He was
also a creator of the San Francisco group Fuzebox,
which was an early fusion of live music, video art,
and dj's in an immersive visual and sonic space. Of
the group's 1999 performances the San Francisco Bay
Guardian said, "the advent of 21st century psychadelic
jazz is already on its way", and "imagine Sun Ra
jamming with Grooverider, or Frank Zappa banging out
tunes with Herbie Hancock". His recent live work
includes playing in Pittsburgh with the group Black
Fish, and creating improvisational sonic montage as DJ
Translator and w/percussionist Matt Montgomery in
Alphabeta .
There will also be Special Guests, the debut of our
Pink Lemur of Death drink and T-shirts. IR # 2 release
to be spread freely.
IR2 - Indigenous Revolutions # 2 featuring Asian Dub
Foundation, Chuck D, Producer Adrian Sherwood, and
members of Soma Mestizo. This Trans-Atlantic, cyber
space, magical collaboration will be dropping soon;
