May 31, 2004 - Streel Valley Arts Council -- SIDEWALK ART CARTS



Steel Valley Arts Council (SVAC) is announcing that it will again launch the SIDEWALK ART CARTS for the summer of 2004 on historic East Eighth Avenue, Homestead, PA 15120 and is having a CALL FOR ARTISTS -- for both former and new artisans to participate.  For this venue artisans who create their own product(s) are defined but not limited to the following categories:  photographer, painter, sculptor, ceramist, quilter,  jeweler, candle maker, etc.

 

An artisan may participate according to his/her wishes (one or more days).  The eight brightly colored wooden carts are approximately 60x36 and have an awning, display well and lower shelf.   The carts will be placed along Historic East Eighth Avenue, Homestead.  SVAC is asking artists to be available either Friday or Saturday or both.  The price of a cart varies depending upon days participating and is payable in advance.  There is an application/contract.    Artisan may decorate cart.   Vending permits are the responsibility of SVAC.  Availability of a cart will be based on a first-come, first-served basis.  Assignment of location will be decided by SVAC.    Interested or questions?
