Technoir-Audio
is a Pittsburgh-based collective of musicians, DJs, producers,
artists, and high-tech entrepreneurs dedicated to creating and
propagating a new music and cultural movement in the city of bridges and beyond.
With a fusion of eclectic tastes, a panorama of digital-to-analog, and a
multicultural global outlook, the collective espouse a unique sound, a dynamic
harmony with a collective omnipresence that has won audiences all over. Along
with Soma Mestizo, 720 Records, the Shadow Lounge, and
other creative PGH East-enders, Technoir-Audio have been one of the
catalysts behind music, art, and culture collective element 5. In
addition to their involvement in local underground culture, Technoir-Audio is an
emerging independent record label on the international scene. With new and
upcoming CD + vinyl releases, the collective's music is currently
making headwaves in the global underground scene, crossing the boundaries between
deep house, detroit techno,
broken beats, and electronic funk. The live performances of label
co-founder Shawn Rudiman has received international acclaim from such
veterans of the scene as Anthony Shakir and Daniel Bell along with
constant rotation on the playlists of DJs from Tokyo to Sao Paulo to
London &
Berlin. Technoir Audio is pleased to be a part of
FLUX no. 9. The
collective will be creating a unique multidimensional stage show throughout the entire
evening on the upstairs stage at the old Beehive (Audience participation is
required). Expect a large ensemble of talents performing live music fused
with DJs sets, and some of the most diverse assortments of music you may never hear anywhere
