Wed Dec 18th - Unseen Cinema: Early American Avant-Garde Film from 1893-1941. Unseen Cinema is a retrospective of the pre-Maya Deren inspired experimental film movement in America. It consists of short films (in newly restored or preserved 35mm and 16mm film prints) many of which have not been available since their creation. These shorts confirm that filmmaking as an art form is an ongoing process, and these rare examples reveal a grand experiment in cinema that continues to reverberate to this day. These are the final four in this remarkable touring exhibition. of toys Liz Berlin, member of Rusted Root, and co-founder of Mr Small's Funhouse
recording studio, theatre and skate park, shall perform a concert of original
compositions, standards and several new duets with Pittsburgh's most original
song stylist Phat Man Dee. Both Berlin and Man Dee shall perform 2 half hour
sets with their own backing bands, and one final set together at the height of
the evening. The proceeds of this event are being given to Mr Small's Funhouse
to support their venture in providing a platform for artists of all kinds to
