We are making preparations for our
new season of New Economy Nights! The next
event will be on Thursday, October 2 in conjunction with our season
opening production of Gilbert and Sullivan's The Mikado. As always
we will be offering a free pre-show happy hour in the O'Reilly Theater
rehearsal hall from 6-7:30 PM and the musical will begin at 8 PM. Please
save the date on your calendars. An official event announcement with ticket
discount information will be e-mailed to you in mid-September.
Please also join us next weekend as The
Second City comedy troupe returns on September 4 - 6 performing a new sketch
themed show, Truth, Justice or the American Way. Tickets are still
available. They are $250 for a table of four right next to the stage with
bar service during the show, $50, or $30.
Included in the ticket price before each show is a special pre-show party in
the main lobby (with free beer from The Church Brew Works!) To order,

On a personal note,
I wanted to let all of you know that I am leaving Pittsburgh
Public Theater as of this Friday to return to grad school at Duquesne
University to pursue my MBA. I have really enjoyed meeting all of you
throughout the four years I have been coordinating these
events and will definitely still be seeing you there in the future -
only this time as a participant! If you have something in your address book
that permits my e-mail address to come through and not to go into junk mail,
please be aware that the New Economy Night announcements will now be coming
from a different e-mail address at ppt.org. When the new person is hired
they will be contacting you with their info.
