2003 Pittsburgh New Works Festival: $500 Playwright Award
Submit your one-acts by April 6

For the first time, the Pittsburgh New Works Festival (PNWF) will offer
a $500 award for the Outstanding Contribution by a Playwright at the 2003
one-act play festival. Twelve adult and two children's one-act plays
will be selected to be performed at the festival, which begins September 4. A
panel of independent judges will attend all performances and will vote for
Outstanding Contribution in several categories. The playwright who gets
the most votes for Outstanding Contribution by a Playwright this year will
receive $500.

We are committed to the growth of New Works and are continually looking
for ways to improve the festival for everyone involved. It is our hope that
a $500 award to one of our playwrights this year will entice more
playwrights to submit to the festival and will enhance the quality of plays that
are submitted.
