THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING FLUX 10!!

Thanks to all the volunteers, artists, community groups, Lawrenceville
residents, sponsors, businesses and attendees from around the region
for
making last Friday's FLUX event a huge success. The event gave local
neighbors and visitors an opportunity to take pride in the heritage and
future of Lawrenceville, to pay tribute to the decades of service St.
Francis Hospital provided, to celebrate locally produced art and the
arrival
of Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh to Lawrenceville. In addition, the
event was attended by more than a hundred delegates who were in town
for the
Alternative Newsweeklies Conference hosted by the City Paper--allowing
us to
showcase the Pittsburgh scene to journalists, publishers and other
attendees
from cities across the US and Canada--several of whom expressed
interest in
learning more about hosting FLUX events in their own towns.

------------------------------------------------------------------
THIS WAS THE MOST SUCCESSFUL FLUX EVENT YET!!

>>Approximately 1,900 attendees--the highest attendance at any FLUX!
>>More than $10,000 in donations collected for participating
artists--the
>>highest at any FLUX!
>>Hundreds of toothbrushes collected for Our Lady of Angels Food
Pantry,
>>which serves families living in Lawrenceville.
