David Walton Featured at Choice Cuts Reading Series


Fiction writer David Walton will be featured at the Choice Cuts Reading 
Series, which begins at 7:30 p.m. Friday October 17, 2003 at the 
historic Slaughterhouse Gallery & Studios, Lawrenceville.

Walton teaches fiction, writing and literature at the University of 
Pittsburgh. His first novel, “Ride,” is set in Pittsburgh and was 
published last year. He is also the author of two collections of short 
stories.

Also featured at the reading will be Marshall Warfield and Emily 
Cleland.

Warfield writes poetry and teaches at the University of Pittsburgh. He 
is also managing editor of the online literary arts journal, nidus. 
Cleland teaches at the University of Pittsburgh, and is completing her 
final year in the university’s MFA program.

Choice Cuts is held the third Friday of each month. The suggested 
donation is $2. Coffee and snacks will be available.

The Slaughterhouse Gallery is located at 5136 Butler Street. The 
readings spotlight promising unpublished writers, but also feature
