Larrimor’s Fashion Benefit for Carnegie Museum of Art

It’s an exciting evening designed to celebrate the openings of the
newly renovated Scaife Galleries at Carnegie Museum of Art and
Larrimor’s for Her.
Larrimor’s, in Downtown’s Union and Trust Building, is hosting a
high energy fashion show a la Milanese, complete with
cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, samplings from Mon Aimee Chocolat,
auction, and a runway walk the likes of which have never been seen
in Pittsburgh.
Fashionistas will be among the first to see the fall lines for Max
Mara, Loro Piana, Zanella, Gunex, Audrey Talbott, Giorgio Armani
(for men), and Ermenegildo Zegna.

Carnegie on Tap

It's a Very Merry Carnegie Unbirthday Bash! Carnegie on Tap, the
grandaddy of all the young professionals parties, celebrates its
20th birthday on a night that takes you through the looking glass.
Party-goers will enjoy the sounds of Pittsburgh's one and only
Phat Man Dee and groove to the jazz-hip-hop sound of 3 Apples
High. The evening also includes refreshments, tours of Carnegie
Museum of Art and Carnegie Museum of Natural History, a silent
auction, and free admission to Sanctuary in the Strip District when
you show your COT ticket.

Pittsburgh Platforms: New Pittsburgh Architecture

Distinguished New York-based architectural writer Mildred Schmertz
joins museum curator Raymund Ryan in a provocative and engaging
discussion of how innovative Pittsburgh architectural firms are
re-thinking Pittsburgh for the 21st century. Several
architects, whose projects are among the 19 on view in the current
exhibition Pittsburgh Platforms: New Projects in Architecture +
Environmental Design, will be on hand to enliven the discussion
of the local design culture. Carnegie Museum of Art Theater. Free
