CELEBRATE YOUR LIBRARY RALLY

Hello Everyone -

The state budget has impacted many non-profits in significant ways.
Your public library system is no exception!  The state budget that has been
passed includes a 50% reduction in funding for libraries.  This means:

- reduced hours and branches closed on Sundays
- reduced collection development
- outreach to schools, daycares, community organizations will be
significantly reduced

WILL YOU STAND FOR THIS?  NO!
So what can you-do to make a difference?

Please, COME TO THE RALLY ON JUNE 3 AT 4 PM ON THE  STEPS OF THE MAIN
LIBRARY IN OAKLAND!

Take an hour off work to join us for this very important time to
celebrate our library system and stand up and ask the state to restore full
funding to libraries!

Without you - it won't matter.  Without libraries - well, everyone
loses!

better than money will get you through times of no libraries." Whole

Please consider taking the short amount a time to make a huge
difference!
